TIZ Programmes

TIZ has been able to identify programmes that it will actively be involved with and these have been summarized as follows:

Research and Advocacy

The main aim of this component is to collect empirical data that promotes constructive debate and dialogue among various actors on the necessary changes that will enhance the fight against corruption and promote good governance and integrity in Zambia. The research produces empirical information on the prevalence and perceptions of corruption by the various sectors and this helps to mobilize the public against corruption. The Advocacy Plan ensures the successful and sustainable implementation of advocacy activities by providing clarity and strategic focus in terms of priority advocacy activities.

Communications and Coalition Building
This component aims at making available information on various aspects of corruption and good governance.
This is done through a variety of ways, which includes newsletters, and publication of research findings. In addition TIZ, actively participates in coalition building and thus networks with a number of organizations in civil society as well as government. These activities are all in line with the overall aim of the component of developing sustainable coalitions for the purpose of joint action and enhancing information sharing among various stakeholders.

Capacity Building
Capacity building is meant to enhance the knowledge and skills of various actors and stakeholders in the anti-corruption campaign and promotion of good governance. The main aim of TIZ involvement in capacity building is to develop the organizational and human capacities of various actors to effectively deal with issues of corruption, good governance and integrity. A number of trainings are undertaken and training materials are developed.
